I purchased Wingz a few weeks ago at the educational discount of $99 :), and, yes, it is a full version. After having perused the manuals carefully, I still cannot get a good feel for how to use the full capabilities of its Hyperscript macro/programming language. I originally got Wingz because of its more Pascal-styled programming as compared to Excel (yes, I've heard of Full-Impact's Mini-Pascal, but was far more impressed by Wingz's other features), as well as its little publicized ability to call external functions written in C, Pascal, etc. Unfortunately, the manual falls far short of being useful for LEARNING how to program anything serious using Hyperscript. It fails to make any mention of its ability to call external functions (yes, I know it has that ability because it comes with MPW C source for one external function). I tried Informix's technical support number earlier, and they are closed for Labor Day. I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could send me any sample HyperScript code, especially for accessing, selecting, and modifying spreadsheet data referenced from the current user selection. Also, are there any good books on Hyperscript (for the programming inclined, as in I do know Basic, C, Pascal, and FORTRAN to varying degrees). Finally, if anybody has any detailed technical information about the external compiled-code function abilities of Wingz I would be delighted. Jess Holle jess@mn.ecn.purdue.edu jess@gn.ecn.purdue.edu
