I am having trouble using the Apple MIDI Management Tools. I can't get the example applications to function. Environment: Mac Plus with 4 meg of RAM Jasmine DirectDrive 45 System software version 6.0.5 MultiFinder Apple MIDI Interface Yamaha DX100 Apple MIDI Management Tools version 1.2 Symptoms: PatchBay seems to work. MIDIArp and SimpleKey produce no observable result other than a "MIDI DATA ERROR!" on the DX100 display SquidCakes receives a continuous stream of hex FD, MIDI key presses come through as a packet like 0 2 40 followed by an FF, playback causes MIDI data errors. (The stream of FD's sure looks like active sensing, but that's supposed to be FE isn't it?) Vision and MasterTracks Pro 4 demo software seem to work fine, so the hardware functions. I have tried: Removing all other INIT's Turning off RAM Cache Making sure that AppleTalk is OFF Changing from Printer to Modem Port Adjusting settings in the MIDI Driver Panel in PatchBay Cursing None of these seem to help. (Well, cursing made me feel better, but didn't make it work any better.) Does anyone have any suggestions? James Talley
