The way I see things the Adam by Coleco will be a total bust. People don't seem to realize that the only!! reason Coleco was able to do well in the video game market was because of two things, Zaxxon and Donkey Kong. Everybody I know, bought the machine because it could play those games and no other system could. I don't think the Adam has a monopoly on any "HOT" software item. Also some people I have talked to say that Atari will under cut Coleco on any package deals they come out with. They same holds true with Comodore. Comodore`s future could be in trouble if they don't start supporting there customers and do something about quality control. Also they don't seem to be coming out with anything new in the future. I have heard from people who own them that if you buy a C64 at a discount store you probably will be told to go somewhere else if you take it to a computer store for repair. Since if you did`t buy it here at my store why should I service it. There market share will probably go down next year. Atari`s future looks good. There new line of computers will do very well. Atari has good customer support. Also they have thousands of Service Centers, a toll free HELP line, and good documentation. Last year they spent 1.5 MILLION dollars in phone bills for there HELP line. That should say something about there customer support. Apple will be hurt by the IBM pc junior, But they will survive unless IBM starts pushing the junior as a small business computer and provides some sort of interface with the PC then they will destroy the Apple IIe. Apple will be around for a long long time. They know there market and know how to protect it. Plus they have tons and tons of software. IBM will be there biggest problem maker. There main money maker will probably be the LISA which is in a totaly different ball game. Therefore I think that you will see next year that Apple ,Atari, Comodore, and IBM will probably slice up most of the micro market leaving little room for anybody else. ihuxf!bryan ihuxm!bryan Bryan K.
