Has anybody ever succeeded in patching NewCWindow? When I patch it, it is either unimplemented (I check first, of course) or my patch code is never called. This is true under both Uni- and Multi- Finder. A colleague suggests that this has something to do with the fact that there are two trap tables in low memory, and the newer traps belong to the second one. I, according to him, might need to do something special to patch NewCWindow, given these considerations. However, this idea strikes me as counter to the idea of calling a trap (SetTrapAddress) to patch a trap.
