I'm running an rdev/INIT combination called Time Server on our EtherTalk network. What it does is set one machine up as the "Time Server." When the other machines boot, they sync their clocks with that machine. Works great. Except on one Mac Plus. With that Mac (which has 2mb RAM, sys 6.0.5 and AppleTalk 53), I get the following strange msg: .MPP Driver version is less than 48 (NCVersion) (-9000) Unfortunately, I don't know what an .MPP driver is. So I don't know what to change to update it. Would've put this on comp.sys.mac.apps or comp.sys.mac.system, but I figured the programmers would be more likely to understand the error msg. Thanks. (BTW: The guy who wrote time server put in a neat method of reporting the error msgs. If the init loads OK, then you see the normal associated icon, but if there is an error, instead of the icon you get a little white box, and the text of the error message scrolls sideways through the little box marquee-style. Now, if only I understood his messages! :-( ) email replies to elk@cis.ohio-state.edu
