[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Thorny SCSI Problems

Eliot.Henry@samba.acs.unc.edu (Eliot Henry) (10/16/90)

A few more SCSI questions:

1) I assume any SCSI device that returns size of greater than zero is a hard drive
(This is a bad assumption but all i have is sample code in c for a device
   driver.)

2) Size of an apple SC20 (old hard drive) is vcbnmablks?

3) -2 is always driver number from apple sc hd?
-42 is always an appleshare volume?

4) How can I get the name of a SCSI drive using a SCSI call? can i?

5) How can i get a list of bad blocks on a sc20? a SCSI hd?

In the above sc20 should be sc10 i think it's the old apple hard drives that
plug into the non scsi portt on the mac and hold about 10 meg.

HELP! HELP! HELP! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
