To anyone who can help: I am new to the world of Mac computing. I am trying to develop an application which should run on all Macintoshes and utilizes the sound capcabilities of the system. I am using the CDS 68000 Assembly Language Development system. Specifically I want to be able to exploit the sound synthesizers to generate 2-part, 3-part and even 4 part harmony. In short I want to illustrate all the so called capabilities of the Mac sysnthesizers. I am aware that my SE/30 has the Apple sound chip that is not available on the earlier machines. I have also read IM and the revised docs put out by Jim Reekes. I thought that I knew how to use ResEdit but the best that I have been able to do is to put out a single line melody; and this by writing a device driver and bypassing the Sound Manager. I intend to store my pre-composed code on a floppy or hard drive and to bring the code into memory as needed. I have already written routines that will do this. Anyone out there having some sample code in Assembler which generates harmony and is willing to mail it to me thanks in advance. Desperately Hoping, mig7920@cec1.wustl.edu
