----- I've been checking out ftp.apple.com from time to time. It seems they're starting to get some files on it. I had two questions: 1) Is there any anticpated date when the site will be "up and running"? (So I don't have to check to much :->) 2) When I do "ls" on ftp.apple.com I get the listings offset on each line. This site is the only one to do this. Is there any site-local reason for this? This can get mucho problematic when the names start wrapping around from one side of the screen to the other This is what I mean: BRIC-A-BRAC.APPLE.COM>ls mpwc <Opening ASCII mode data connection for file list. mpwc/bawk.sit.hqx mpwc/cflow.sit.hqx mpwc/gnu-sed.sit.hqx mpwc/indent1.1.sit.hqx mp w c/microemacs.sit.hqx mpwc/tarsrc.sit.hqx Robert ============================================================================ = gft_robert@gsbacd.uchicago.edu * generic disclaimer: * "It's more fun to = = * all my opinions are * compute" = = * mine * -Kraftwerk = ============================================================================
