[comp.sys.mac.programmer] sfPutFile - where can the dialog hook find the volume?

brady@swift.cs.tcd.ie (10/31/90)

Here's a question about using a dialog hook inside sfPutFile. It's probably
stupid, but here it is: how can the dialog hook find out what _volume_ number
the selected file is going to be put in, just when the save button is pressed?
It's possible to pick up the file's filename, but I just can't find the
volume number anywhere, and it's driving me crazy...
Thanks

After writing some code that handles adding all items in a folder,
folders, and files I am still not complete sure of that stuff.

There are a two level globals that are of interest: CurDirStore
(longint for the folder) and another one which refers to the volume
(integer). There is a DTS sample that deals with SFGetFile. You can
ftp to apple.com:pub/dts/mac/sc/sc-018-stdfile.hqx

It is very helpful!
