Is there anyway to determine the location of a volume's icon on the desktop? OR Is there someway to have the finder open a folder remotely? For example given a path VOLUME:Utilites: can you have the finder open the appropriate window for the folder Utilities. By remotely I mean from within another application such as a find file utility. The answers to both of these questions is probably no. But will system 7.0 allow the later of the two through AppleEvents or something similiar. I know System 7.0's find file facility will open the appropriate window when it locates a file but will this functionality be made available to other programs. Thanks in Advance.
