[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Minimum for X windows development on the Macintosh

woody@truebalt.caltech.edu (William Edward Woody) (11/13/90)

I think the subject line says it all: what is the minimum amount of
software I will need to do application development under X windows on the
Macintosh. That is, the client will live on the Macintosh as well as the
X windows server (or maybe I've got 'em backwards; I'm just learning, you
see).

P.S.: I wish to do development in C++ if possible.

I don't mind having to go to A/UX to do the development; however, if possible,
I would like to use the MPW environment and avoid the issue of A/UX entirely.
The project is being payed for by my employer, not by me. ;-)
