I have been using the new ResEdit 2.0b2 and have enjoyed it a great deal. Currently, however, I have been trying to put an ICON on to a menu item - my about menu to be exact. It appears to be working fine when I am in ResEdit. The ICON shows on the test menu exactly how I want it to look. Unfortunatly, when I run my program I get the little Mac icon that I assume is in the system. When I try to do the same with a SICN I get garbage. In addition, when I try to do the same thing with any other menu it works fine. I only have the problem with my about menu. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to make some extra call or something? Any help would be appreaciated!!! ----- News saved at 10 Nov 90 21:31:28 GMT Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac.programming Subject: Icons in menus Expires: References: Sender: Reply-To: rjohnson@seas.gwu.edu (Ray Johnson) Followup-To: Distribution: world Organization: The George Washington University, Washington D.C. I should have inserted your article here, but it seemed to be miles long... Well, As usual I don't have the documents handy but I remember reading some Tech Note just about the thing that you want to know about. The Tech Note said that is was OK to put in SICN's in menus as long as you don't put them in the Apple menu! (Am I right here? Hope so). So one solution to your problem is to move the SICN from your Apple menu to some other menu. /Andreas Andreas Magnusson Simple Student of Computer Science Linkoping, Sweden Internet: c89andma@odalix.ida.liu.se
