I am at the moment learning 4th Dimension to write the beginning of a stock control database. A lot of it can be done through the use of the point and click type commands but I also envisage a lot of programming to get the final product. I am working by myself so I would be interested to know how many other people are working out there with 4D and if this newsgroup is the best place to post questions and comments? I have one question which is bugging me already. How comes my UK version of the software insists on using an American date format. Is this a regular gripe or am I just being pedantic? Somehow I feel that a UK version ought to have UK date formats or maybe I am just being rather old fashioned! :-) Ian -- ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// / zobbo@tharr.uucp | Disclaimer - give me a break / / !ukc!axion!tharr!zobbo | I don't even / / axion!tharr!zobbo@uk.ac.ukc | believe this junk / /<-- tharr *free* public access to Usenet in the UK 0234 261804 --> / //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Compuserve is the most active area with about 3,000 messages relating to 4D posted each month.
