i am new to this newsgroup so please excuse me if this has been discussed before. i am thinking about developing an application that could really make use of some low-level database routines (like making SQL-level calls). i have done this before using Oracle on Unix machines. my problem is that i don't want users of the application to have to buy a database system or even pay for a runtime license which can run from $85 (4D) to $700 (Oracle). are there any database utility routines/packages that i can use in my program without having to pay a runtime fee? (note: please reply to email address below since posting address is incorrect) thanks in advance, -- Tim Barrios AG Communication Systems, Phoenix, AZ UUCP: {ncar!noao!asuvax | uunet!zardoz!hrc | att}!gtephx!barriost voice: (602) 582-7101 fax: (602) 581-4022
