[comp.sys.mac.programmer] editors that count lines

rprohask@orion.oac.uci.edu (Robert Prohaska) (11/26/90)

Is there an editor for the mac that can use line numbers to locate
text. I'm working on some fortran files and the compiler identifies
errors by the line number of the offending code.

thanks

Get MPW. It lets you navigate by line numbers and a whole lot more. For
$150 it is a bargain, even if you don't want to program with it. Anyone
who has ever lived in a unix world should love it (if they don't mind a
change in notation.) Anyway, that is my suggestion that I give to anyone
free who will listen. Get MPW.
Of course, if you want to write programs, you will pay more.
