I am writing a program to securely erase Hard Drives for GTE. I think I have succeeded. The problem is now the drive isn't even recognized by the Apple SC HD Setup program; so i can't reformat it. In fact, the Mac SE/30 won't even continue the search of SCSI devices and discover that the boot drive (an external drive) is fine. Perhaps I have erased the drive so well that it needs a low level format? Is there such a thing on a Macintosh? I know there is on IBM PCs. I have another question on Hard Drives that I still haven't had answered. I have been trying to use PBHGetVINFO to get the size on an old Apple HD20 drive. I have had little success. The number of free blocks returned is correct but the "number of allocation blocks" returned is not only negative but wrong! Please offer any help you may be able to! I am on Coop and only have about 4 weeks left to finish this project! I am so close! Thanks in Advance!
