Ok, creative hackers. I have an init that needs to override the standard
WDEF with one from its own resource fork. Unfortunately, I have not found
the proper way of doing things to get this to work. The problem seems to be
that the system loads in the WDEF from itself (or an application) and locks
it. Thus my opening/loading mine does not override it. I need to override
the standard WDEF after it has been loaded so that I can "restore" it (my
override needs to be temporary). Any ideas? I'm getting stumped...
