[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Looking to be kept busy....

dauter@terminator.cc.umich.edu (Michael Dautermann) (12/17/90)

Hello! I help to administrate (translated: put together, test,
organize, etc.) a very large Mac P D/Shareware archive over at
the University of Michigan. It's accessible through the
Internet as well, just log into 35.1.1.43 (um-mts.cc.umich.edu)
or 35.1.1.47 (ub-mts.cc.umich.edu), type in "cd PC2:" to switch to
the Macintosh directory, and then "get !index index" (to
retrieve the files index) or "get do/download2 download.txt (to
read more complete instructions"... You'll probably find quite a
lot of things on-line there that you won't find anywhere else...

And that's why I'm writing this article... exams are almost
over for me and I face the prospect of 3 or so weeks with
little to do other than relatives, egg-nog, meaningful presents
such as socks and bookbags.... I'd like to test your PD or
Shareware works of art (i.e. your programs) and add them to
our archive for everyone to have access to. If you'd like
to keep me busy, please e-mail a copy of your work to
my address (down below, or at userw72n@um.cc.umich.edu) and
I'll test it out and add it in the matter of hours...
or If you've seen something interesting on the pay-per-minute
services such as Compu$erve or GEnie.. send a copy of that
too.. it'd probably be useful to have them on the internet
publicly for free. Let me know any comments or questions
too.. I'll reply as fast as possible. Thanks!
