To Chris Johnson or anyone who has knowledge of Gatekeeper: I am writing a INIT/DRVR/cdev in which I want to change the resource ID numbers of the resources the driver owns. Unfortunately, Gatekeeper feels that changing the resource ID numbers constitutes "suspicious" activity and won't allow it. That's fine at INIT time, since I can just allow Res/Self privs for the file in Gatekeeper (not too much to ask of a program). Unfortunately, when I am a cdev, Gatekeeper wants the program that the Control Panel is running under (either DA Handler or an application under which the Control Panel is open) to have Res/ Other privs, which is unacceptable. Is there any way for me to make myself Gatekeeper compatible? Or is the new version of Gatekeeper going to change this? I am really kind of bummed at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, pr -- Pete Resnick (...so what is a mojo, and why would one be rising?)
