I believe I am making the call correctly but am getting a very large negative number returned. Even if the number is correct and I ignore the negative the size of the disk returned is still wrong. The funny thing is that the other information returned by the call such as number of free blocks is correct! I have about a week left here at my coop job and would really like to get this program completely finished so I can feel like my time here was productive. I would greatly appreciate any help! Anyone at apple listening? (The people from apple have been very supportive and helpful on usenet. This is a great resource and they provide a great service to those of us who aren't developers!) Oh, one more thing, the device I am trying to obtain the size of is an old Apple HD 20 meg. It is a serial Hard Drive. I can send you a copy of my code attempt at this problem if you want.
