From: Rick Conn <rconn@brl> George, ZEX, the memory-based command file facility, is able to process submit files, usually without change from the old form used with SUBMIT. It was released with ZCPR2, and I have used it ever since, moving almost completely away from SUBMIT and SUB2 (a version of SUBMIT with enhancements that also came out wth ZCPR2). The few cases I found it desirable to go to SUB2 involved the need for a larger TPA, and ZEX may very well have been able to handle it anyway. Your concern is valid ... if you have not tried ZEX with ZCPR2, read the manual and try running a few ZEX command files. I think you will see the differences which attract me to ZEX and away from SUB2/SUBMIT. The purpose of question 3 of the query was to see if anyone has an application where ZEX absolutely cannot do the job and they HAVE to use SUB2/SUBMIT. Rick
