I thought I found the answer to this once before, but lost some utilities when
my HD had to be rebuilt recently. Can anyone tell me the name of a utility
that can take a unix shell archive (or .shar file) and separate the individual
files.
Or tell me what the precise format of a shell archive is, so I can write a
quick little hack to do it myself. The format 'looks' simple, but I'd prefer
a real specification of the format before I try coding anything.
I "KNOW" something exists, because I've used it once.
