I would like to add an item to the System (Finder's?) menu bar, but perusing "Inside Macintosh" doesn't show me anything that looks reasonable. What I am thinking of is something like Disk Doubler's init which adds "DD" as a menu pick to the right of "Color" when Finder is active. Pointers to the right documentation and/or (especially) examples would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mike

I once read that there was an undocumented but actually quite stable interface to the Finder to do that.
