[comp.sys.mac.programmer] How to add to the System Menu bar?

Michael_I_Summers@cup.portal.com (01/08/91)

I would like to add an item to the System (Finder's?) menu bar, but perusing
"Inside Macintosh" doesn't show me anything that looks reasonable.

What I am thinking of is something like Disk Doubler's init which adds "DD"
as a menu pick to the right of "Color" when Finder is active. Pointers to
the right documentation and/or (especially) examples would be much
appreciated.

Thanks,
	Mike

I'd like to see that, too. I'd also like to know how Diskdoubler finds out
the selected file/folder. I once read that there was an undocumented but
actually quite stable interface to the Finder to do that.
