A while back I borrowed from a friend of mine the Mini-Mem cartridge for the TI 99/4A in order to familiarize myself with the 9900 assembly language. I've run into one particular problem that I hope someone out there in netland may be able to answer. The problem is this. I want to use the KSCAN utility in order to input keystrokes and display them on the screen. Seems simple enough, but there is a hitch. The Easy Bug Debugger option on the Mini-Mem reserves memory locations >8730-8FFF. Any attempt to modify the contents of those addresses is unsuccessful. Un- fortunately, the KSCAN utility uses >8375 to store the ASCII code of the key pressed and >837C to store the status bit which in- dicates a key was depressed. Well, needless to say the Easy Bug Debugger has buggered up that whole process. What can I do????? Larry Taylor Duke Biophysipedic
