The answer to my TECalTExt() problem has been provided, and it is that TECalText() doesn't use the teLength field to figure out how many characters it has to deal with, but the size of the block pointed to by hText. Thanks to Tim Endres (time@ice.com) for pointing this out. anarch@dartmouth.edu
