I have a printing questions that I would be very grateful if anyone can answer. What is the fastest way to print text on the Apple Imagewriter while staying within the confines of the programming guides for printing laid out by DTS? I've found (=users have complained) about the printing speed in my application on Imagewriters in draft mode. I've followed Apple's specs about how to print things in general and it's too slow. How does something like Mockwrite print like a rocket on those things? Is there a similiar method for printing a single bit map on those things? The low level interfaces seemed *exactly* what I wanted, but Apple seems to be warning us away from them and you can't mix and match with higher level routines. (i.e. use low level routines for IW in draft mode, high level routines otherwise) What's a poor programmer to do? Please post or e-mail as you see fit. Thanks in advance. If I get interesting replies, I will post my results. Tom West west@turing.toronto.edu or tomwest@gpu.utcs.toronto.edu or west@hsa.on.ca
