SMALL OFFICE COMPUTER TO BE MARKETED BY AT&T
AFTER JAN. 1, Newsweek, 11/21, p. 37. AT&T
will enter the small business computer field
after Jan. 1., with its 3B5, which has a
variety of office applications, including word
processing. Because the new machine embodies
technology derived from ESS systems, AT&T says
it will be far more reliable than most
computers. The 3B5 includes a 32-bit
microprocessor, AT&T's new 256K RAM, and Bell
Labs' UNIX operating system.
