Fellow Netnewsreaders, In the current apda catalog ( also in Mactutor ) Apple has released a mac programming course on CD. It's table of contents look good but it also goes for $495! I would like to know if anyone has seen or used it and is it worth the cost?? Thanks in advance for any answers you may send. But it requires a CD-ROM drive, THINK C and a Mac with two megs (4MB recommended). Looking at what you have to pay for a three-day seminar on Macintosh Programming Fundamentals, you're far better off with the self-training course. Self-training courses have one common drawback though: they cannot answer questions that go beyond the scope of the training. In a real class, you can ask a question to the teacher during the coffee breaks or the training, even if it is not directly related to the stuff you're currently learning. On the other side, you can still ask your local guru for advice... -- Danny +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Danny Schwendener, Apple Developer Technical Support Switzerland | | AppleLink: danny.s UUCP : {cernvax, mcvax}ethz!macman | | Internet: macman@apple.com Voice : yodel three times | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ DISCLAIMER: These are my very own opinions. What was this about self-training courses? Any information will be appreciated.
