In an article some time ago, I asked for help in locating a drop-in object or something that would give me more-or-less unlimited text editing within my programs. I mentioned that I had heard about Symantec having put out such a product(which turned out to be called Capps') and asked for experiences with that product as well. The responses I got(and I thank you all for your time and trouble. I'm sorry I can't name names, but my mbox got trashed and I lost all the saved letters.) gave me the following info: 1) the Capps' editor product has been(apparently) dropped and is therefore unsupported at the moment. It also suffers from not being 32-bit clean. 2) the Word Solutions Engine (I'm sorry I don't have the address, that's one of the things that was in my trashed mbox), about $300, but sounded like a very stable and usable tool. 3) the Prepare() replacement for TextEdit panes. Prepare() in general sounds like a very nice product, and probably well worth the money(the demo said something like $495 for a subscription). Unfortunately, I'm a college student on a TIGHT budget(aren't all college students?). So, I can't really afford either the Word Solutions Engine or the subscription to Prepare(). Ah well, guess I'll have to write my own. Thanks again for all the help. "Pope" Q.E.D Michael Kohne
