I've been wondering a little about the implementation of the interrupt function on the LC and IIsi. I gather that, when you press command-power-on, some controller chip translates this into an assertion of the interrupt signal. So my question is: why does MacsBug (or other debugger) have to be specifically updated to deal with this? Is it simply because, on these new machines, the interrupt signal will not get asserted until it has been explicitly enabled? Just curious...
