I wrote these three CDEFs a while back and have used them successfully in my projects, and since they seemed generally useful, I thought I'd share them with my fellow Mac-ers. They are: 1) an up-down arrow button like the one used to set the time/date in the General control panel, 2) an on-off switch like the one used to turn on the alarm in the Alarm Clock desk accessory, 3) a three-state checkbox, with an option to look like the one Microsoft uses or the one Apple's MPW uses in Commando dialog boxes. The README file tells you more. You may use any or all of these CDEFs in your own work, but you may not sell them without my permission. This is a Stuffit 1.5.1 archive containing three ResEdit files and a TeachText README file.
