I am using the notification manager to place my SICN in the menubar over the apple menu. This, of course, is simple. However, I need to push the envelope of the known Notification Manager boundaries... There are two things that I have been struggling to accomplish (and am probably asking too much of the manager): 1) be able to force the SICN to appear (the first time) at a specific time. I don't need microsecond accuracy, but to the nearest tick or two is what I'm looking for... 2) be able to have my SICN and the apple alternate _while_ I am in a program loop. I assumed it was only necessary to call GetNextEvent (like some technote says), but no luck. Even calling SystemTask in addition proved useless...
