Hi folks, After playing around a bit with my new IIsi (first Mac), I'd like to get started with some programming. Now, I've kinda split the programming I'm interested in into two types: Mac specific application type stuff, and everything else. At this point, the "everything else" is programming for work and school. What follows are a couple of questions I've got about getting started: 1) Where's ResEdit? Is it FTP-able or only BBS-able? What's the best reference doc for it? 2) What are people's opinions of programming environments? (Let's stick to C, but I'm also interested in other stuff like Lisp.) Maybe you can offer perspectives on how specific tools do with both Mac-specific and generically portable code (i.e. will a C application written under Think C compile and run on a Sun?). Basically, all I've heard about here is either Think C or MPW. 3) Never mind #3. I was gonna ask about programming books... Thanks for any help! -Kris schneide@arisia.xerox.com
