I apologize for the evil cross-posting plot, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I am shortly going to buy a Mac IIci or IIsi. My last computer was an Apple II+ with an Epsom FX-80 printer. This printer was a good workhorse, and I anticipate that most of my future printing needs will involve straight text dumps to a printer. How can I get these two to talk to each other? Is there a way to modify the existing ImageWriter driver? Do I have to start from scratch and write my own driver? Do I need a special card, or just a serial cable? I've got a parallel interface right now. I am willing to do some programming, and I can probably do enough TTL design to put a card together, but I really have no idea where to start. Easiest of all, of course, would be if someone has done this before and posted the result to an FTP site :<) Please email to me, as I normally don't read these newsgropus. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. I'm just wondering if there is an easy/medium way to hook up this old beast so I don't have to spring for a new printer whose Subrata Sircar | sksircar@phoenix.princeton.edu |Prophet& SPAMIT Charter Member I don't speak for Princeton, and they don't speak for me.
