I'm having trouble loading MacsBug. My system is a IIcx with 4M and an E-Machines Z21-IQ monitor. I've tried: no inits/normal inits MacsBug v. 6.1/6.2b1 System 6.0.4/6.0.5 No matter what I do, MacsBug doesn't seem to load. What am I missing? Ian Dowell idowell@bbn.com

I had this problem once and it turned out that using some software, like Virtual and Maxima, replace the 'debugger' string that the system uses to load the debugger with one of their own load files, and then load macsbug if it's present. Using SUM DiskTools, or some other disk boot-block reader, check to make sure that the "debugger" string is MacsBug and not something else. anders

Thanks to all the people who have offered suggestions so far. Unfortunately I'm still stuck. Yes, it is named "MacsBug" exactly (I tried "Macsbug" as well) Yes, I put it in the System Folder and reboot. Yes, I checked the boot blocks and the debugger is set to "Macsbug" Yes, I've tried 6.1 and 6.2b1 (if anyone has 6.2, please tell me where I can get it) Yes, I've tried a virgin System with no INITs. Is anyone using MacsBug with an E-Machines Z21-IQ display? Ian Dowell idowell@bbn.com
