[comp.sys.mac.programmer] TIFF code...

sbd@dsto.oz.au (Scott Davis) (04/11/91)

HI,

Could anyone point me to some code for interpreting TIFF files?

I wish to be able to use it on Macintosh and Sun platforms.

The preferred language would be Modula-2, but C will be fine.

Thanks,
  Scott Davis

An article on "Image Processing: Reading the Tag Image File Format (TIFF)"
in the March 91 issue of The C Users Journal would be what you're looking for.
It contains the TIFF specifics (structure of header) and contains C code as
part of an IP system.

There is some TIFF stuff (the Microsoft-Aldus document, code, sample files...)
on apple.com via anonymous ftp (ftp address 130.43.2.2) the path is something
like pub/ArchiveVol2/graphics (that's close anyway). The files are
all prefixed with 'tiff' so they shouldn't be too hard to find.
