[comp.sys.mac.programmer] C+- problems; HELP!!!

pittenger-laurence@cs.yale.edu (Laurence Arthur Pittenger) (04/23/91)

What should be a simple problem but has defied several hours of work.
Running in the "fake" C++ environment of Think C, fondly called C+-,
I'm having trouble with, of all things, creating an object. The new()
command is consistenly returning a NULL. Now, I've used objects
before, and I'm basically mimicing code I have which works, so I can't
figure out what's up. I've got <oops.h> included, the oops library
added, etc. I assume there's some esoteric fact which is eluding me
about what to include in the project or what header files to include,
but I've gone over code comparing pretty closely and can't find it.
Also, I imported an object from the other (working) project and it
*also* returned a NULL, so it's not something w/ my object's code.
Any help will be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance.

In the dark,
LP
