We having been have some trouble with our SuperDrives lately and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar trouble. We recently purchased two Classics and one IIsi. The Classic's will often hang when a disk is in the drive. Most often, we can get the system to crash when numerous items are selected from the disk - just a simple shift-click will often do the trick. The IIsi will crash almost regularly when doing the above. As well, it is almost sure to die if we attempt to scroll through a folder that resides on the disk. In both cases, the only way we can use the drive is to drag the disk icon to a folder on the hard disk in order to copy the complete floppy (quite a hassle if we only want one file). All systems are running 6.0.7. The IIsi has a NuBus adapter and a RasterOps NuBus card installed (we have never run the IIsi without the RasterOps card installed - it's the only monitor we have for it - a two-page monochrome display if memory serves me). The IIsi is right out of the box - no inits running. My feeling is that the problem is system software related rather than hardware related because the crashes are not consistent - sometimes they happen, sometimes they don't. But, I have been wrong before so if anyone has some valuable insight I sure would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks much.
