I create a file with rsrc fork by calling HCreate & HCreateResFile. Sometimes the file shows up in the Finder, I can open & use it just fine, but it won't show up in any SFGetFile dialogs (initially I discovered this when trying to open it with ResEdit) Re-booting doesn't seem to help. If I duplicate the file, the copy will show up in SFGetFile. I can't consistenty reproduce the problem. It seems to happen in spurts - for a while it always happens, then I won't be able to reproduce it. Obviously I need to work on narrowing the problem down a bit, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how this behavior is even possible? I not sure if this is the problem but check and see if the version number of the file is zero. One of them (the finder or SFget, I forget which) does not show files with version numbers > 0.
