How do people usually handle number types for money using Think C? I'm usually afraid to use floats when things have to add "to the penney", so that leaves long ints or the toolbox's fixed or fract (I can't remember which is which). long ints with 2 assumed decimal places seems best. I'm reading the SpInside Macintosh version of IM (good for a reference but not for general perusing), so I may have missed some other appropriate type. Are there BCD or ASCII numeric types with complete math support? Any thoughts? thanks, -- michael ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael McGuffey, Director BITNET: mcguffey@marshall Office of Institutional Research Internet: mcguffey@marshall.wvnet.edu Marshall University Phone: 304/696-3212 Huntington, WV 25755 FAX: 304/696-3601 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
