[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Resource compiler/decompiler

depeyrot@imag.fr (Gilles Depeyrot) (04/26/91)

Does anyone know of a resource compiler/decompiler for the mac ?
I'm looking for something that could compile a text into a resource
and decompile a resource into text.
			Thanx for any information.

MPW has two tools that do just that: Rez and DeRez.

Rez takes a source file and turns it into resources and, of course,
DeRes does just the opposite.

I believe there is an application called ResTools which offers part of
the Rez/DeRez functionality for MPW heathen.

There are also standalone versions of these two tools, SARez and SADeRez.
Symantec ships them with THINK Pascal 3.0.x
