[comp.sys.mac.programmer] MPW linker and >32K of globals

Now waitaminute.

Why is the MPW linker only warning me when I have more than 64K of globals? I
thought the limit was 32K above and below A5, and when I do a -p I see that I
have about 45K below A5. I thought that was a no-no given that I am  compiling
with -m off in order to get smaller and faster code. Whats the linker doing
when I refer to a global more than 32K below A5, for heavens sake? Why isn't it
complaining?
