I have heard several rumors about TrueType's (lack of) ability to draw rotated text. Would someone who really *knows* enlighten me? I know that text rotation can be accomplished at the bitmap level, but it is obviously much better to do it at the outline level. (Yeah, yeah, for 90 degree increments the end result will look the same...) ATM has special calls to tell it to draw at an arbitrary angle. Does TrueType have some hidden (or not so hidden) features like this, or is it inferior in this aspect? --Jim Amundson amun@midway.uchicago.edu
