i am working on an application for the Mac in THINK Pascal (which i just purchased a few months ago). i've run into a few things that i would much prefer to be using Ada for (like generics, exceptions, tasking) and was wondering what is available for doing Ada on the Mac. a few months ago there was a lot of discussion (in comp.lang.ada) about a compiler for the Mac for about $150 (AdaZ?). that's what i spent on the Pascal compiler but i had a few concerns: - what Ada compilers are available for the mac - how much does it cost - can you call all the standard Mac routines from Ada - does the compiler(s) have a syntax directed editor (like THINK)? - are there good debugging facilities for it - has anyone developed real applications using it - if so, how is the speed of the applications - does anyone take a trade in on a brand new Pascal compiler (-: if this is a frequently asked question, i apologize, and just send me an email response. thanks in advance -- Tim Barrios, AG Communication Systems, Phoenix, AZ UUCP: ...!{ncar!noao!asuvax | uunet!zardoz!hrc | att}!gtephx!barriost Internet: gtephx!barriost@asuvax.eas.asu.edu voice: (602) 582-7101 fax: (602) 581-4022
