I earlier today posted the following file on ftp.apple.com so people can
start preparing for the release of System 7.0 (whenever that might happen).
Please run both the Before You Install and the Compatibility Checker prior
to upgrading to help smooth your upgrade path. These will be included in
the upgrade kits; however, we are offering them here for free.
Note that System 7.0 will NOT appear on Apple.com, so do not bother trying
to connect to it anytime next week to look for it. Also note that the
remaining archives on Apple.com will soon be transferred to ftp.apple.com,
which is the new Apple ftp site (130.43.2.3).
Start checking your systems now, because you never know when System 7.0
will finally ship...
