I have just about finished writing a universal mounting package which, among other things lets you mount UNIX devices and files (but not filesystems) on the Mac desktop as a volume. What I would like to add to the package is the ability to use the Mac as an NFS server. I don't know of any software (commercial or otherwise) that does this. I guess it's not something many people want to do. Does anyone know of an existing package that does this? (NB server not client). So probably I will have to write my own. I would like to know if anyone has any existing NFS code for the Mac that I can start from. In return I will donate my program free to the Mac community. I don't think that this NFS feature will be of much interest to non A/UX users. Not many people want to mount MacOS filesystems onto UNIX machines using NFS. But A/UX users do.
