No, I don't think there is such a thing as an annotated listing of the tech notes, although there is an index that lets you look up what tech note corrosponds to various topics or keywords. Another option is the tech notes stack, which lets you sort by subject, number, etc. Quite handy, but *huge*... As an aside, apple.com has *nothing* to do with System 7.0 -- it's ftp.apple.com that is having problems because of it, and which will be used as an anonymous ftp site for it. >if not, what tech notes do i want to read to find out about writing >multifinder friendly applications/handling multifinder specific events >properly/how the event manager changed under multifinder. since i'm >still working in 6.0.4, i'm not concerned about system 7 issues, yet... What you want is the Programmers' Guide to Multifinder, a small book (actually about 70 pages delivered looseleaf and drilled for three-hold punch) that explains the fundamental concepts of MultiFinder and the Notification Manager both, as well as stating for the record the do's and don'ts of MultiFinder-friendly programming. The tech notes are supplemental to this book. It's available from APDA, and its order number is M7044. You can get hold of APDA at 1-800-282-APDA. ------- Christopher Tate | "Where on your palm is my little line, when | you're written on mine as an old memory?" cxt105@psuvm.psu.edu | cxt105@psuvm.bitnet | -- Kate Bush
