There has not been much information on these processors on the net
recently -- is anybody useing them?
If so, have you found out any problems with these parts -- Speed, Bugs, etc.
What production steps are you using? How is delivery from Intel?
Has anyone found a way to get around the ROM speed problem with the 286?
Has anyone even gotten a 286 to work?
Please reply to me and I will sort and resubmit them to the net as
a digest.
Many thanks in advance,

What is the difference between the 80186 and the iAPX186? -- Don Davis JHU/APL ...decvax!harpo!seismo!umcp-cs!aplvax!ded ...rlgvax!cvl!umcp-cs!aplvax!ded

"80186" refers to the single intel CPU chip
(which contains the processor, DMA, interrupt, timer,
and chip select logic)
"iAPX186" refers not only to the 80186, but also to the
entire 80186 *family* of intel peripheral and support chips.
