Hey, I need some help with a program I'm writing... I'll make this quick... It accesses the serial port and when I finally got the program done and pretty much debugged, I sent it out to a friend to beta test it. It immediately froze on him when it tried to send some initialization strings to his modem... Well, I narrowed the problem down to that the program will allow things to be FSWrite (written) to the modem only if CD (carrier detect) is forced on the modem. If not, it freezes on that line.. Does anyone have ANY ideas on why this is? I have thoroughly scanned IM II & IV with no luck. E-mail is preferred, but a reply here would be fine, too!
