We are trying to read scanned images from ADOBE PhotoShop (TIFF, PICT) whatever, into a FORTRAN program for image processing. These are xray diffraction patterns in 24 bit greyscale. We need some source code for to link to our FORTRAN on the Mac to input the data from these images. I hate re-inventing the wheel, so if anybody has done this already in any langauge please respond.
